The image shows a simple, hand-drawn outline of a signpost with two directional signs pointing in opposite directions, illustrated in bright yellow against a dark blue background. The signpost is situated at a fork in the road, with the paths diverging into two directions. The ground around the signpost is sketched with grassy details, adding a natural element to the scene. The illustration represents decision-making, choices, and the journey ahead, with the contrast between the yellow and dark blue enhancing the visual impact.

I am excited to share that a new journal article I co-authored has been published in Qualitative Inquiry.

An Approach to Decision-making in Community-based Participatory Research to Foster Co-ownership and Trust:

This work highlights the importance of Autistic and Disabled voices in shaping research questions, methods, and interpretation. Collaborative approaches are not simply something to strive for. They are essential for producing research that reflects the realities, needs, and priorities of the people it claims to represent.

I am proud of what our team created and grateful to be part of a movement that centers community expertise in research design. This is the future of ethical and meaningful inquiry.
